Sweet Negros Occidental

Located at the northwestern part of the Negros Island, Bacolod is the most urbanized city in the region. This year, Pinoy Photography Club (PiPho) picked Bacolod and its neighboring towns to be one of the club's out-of-town destinations. The fastest way to reach this city from Manila is an hour and 15-minute plane ride that lands on Bacolod-Silay Airport. Silay is 28 km north of Bacolod or approximately a 40-minute to 1 hour drive from the main city.

We arrived in Bacolod last June 9 (Thursday) and spent the next four days getting a glimpse of the Negrense heritage; including its natural and man-made structures. We were able to visit Silay, Talisay, Bacolod, Don Salvador Benedicto, and Murcia.
